A neuroscience approach to the diagnosis & treatment of chronic pain, medically unexplained symptoms, & functional somatic disorders

Matt is an osteopathic physician whose practice, Insight Medicine, is founded on the biopsychosocial model of health. He believes that true healing requires understanding the whole person—not just symptoms—and considers the physical, emotional, relational, and environmental factors that shape health and well-being. His work helps patients develop greater awareness of both the conscious and unconscious processes that influence the body and mind. Grounded in neuroscience and trauma-informed care, his approach recognizes that when our needs have been threatened or gone unmet, our nervous systems adapt in ways that can lead to persistent symptoms and recurring patterns of behavior. Through a collaborative practitioner-patient relationship, Matt helps patients move beyond symptom management toward deeper understanding, lasting change, and healing.
